Abstract

This study examines how sharia communication is implemented in the production and creative program division of Golden Fit at MNC Channels. Golden Fit is a health and lifestyle program aimed at adult audiences. The program is broadcast regularly via live studio format. The main problem identified is the absence of clear communication guidelines based on Islamic values in the production process. This can lead to inconsistent messages and discrepancies between content and Islamic communication ethics. This study used a descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis. Informants consisted of producers, creative teams, presenters, and program managers. This analysis was conducted using the six principles of qaulan (religious conduct) contained in the Qur'an: qaulan sadidan, balighan, ma'rufan, kariman, layyinan, and maysura. The results show that the implementation of sharia communication in Golden Fit is partial and irregular. The aspects of qaulan ma'rufan and layyinan are applied more frequently than other dimensions, especially during live broadcasts that require direct and spontaneous responses. These findings contribute to the development of a Sharia-compliant communication model based on practices in the media industry, while also addressing the gap in research on the application of Islamic communication ethics in commercial television production in Indonesia.
